The West Side Show Room is located at 1414 N Main Street in Rockford, IL near Veteran’s Memorial Circle in the historic North End.
BEER + WINE BAR
Our lobby opens 30 minutes prior to show time. Plan to arrive in time to find parking and enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer from WSSR’s bar, or at one of the restaurants nearby.

ACCESSIBILITY
FOR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY DISABILITIES
WSSR offers an open single-level layout with push-button doors at the main entrance and at our wheelchair accessible restrooms.
The parking lot adjacent to our building contains six ADA parking spaces.
Our building is level throughout with smooth floors and wide hallways.
When reserving tickets, let us know your seating preference and we will do our best to accommodate you.

PARKING
The West Side Show Room is located in Rockford’s historic North End at the intersection of 4 great neighborhoods: Signal Hill, Churchill’s Grove, Edgewater, and North End Square.
NORTH END COMMONS
PUBLIC PARKING LOT #31
Parking Lot #31 is the best parking option. Located directly behind The Norwegian, this free lot is adjacent to The West Side Show Room’s main entrance. Enter from this parking lot— there is no access from Main Street. Bear in mind that this lot can get very busy on Friday and Saturday nights.
MIDLAND BANK
PUBLIC PARKING LOT #33
Another good parking option is the free Public Lot #33 by Midland Bank. If you park here, use the crosswalk at the roundabout, and proceed to the back of The West Side Show Room where our main entrance is located.
RESIDENTIAL STREET PARKING
If the public parking lots are full, there is free parking on the residential streets: Latham Place and King Street to the West, and Myott Avenue and Toner Avenue to the East. If you park on the streets, please be respectful of our neighbors— bear in mind that many of them do not have driveways and also park their car in the street.

THE OLYMPIC TAVERN
A North End favorite since 1945, The Olympic Tavern has EVERYTHING— from burgers to lobster tails, a great wine list and Rockford's best craft beer menu. (We’d order their ranch dressing by the pitcher if they’d let us). ROOTED
Rooted started from selling succulents in thrifted containers at pop-up shops and quickly grew into selling vintage items– furniture, home decor, art, and glassware. In their brand new space next to the WSSR, Rooted has expanded to include food and beverages, curated vintage, artisan made goods, and more!
Wonderland Sweets is also be located inside and have their items for sale in the shop to-go.

Check out Rockford’s premier billiards hall with 16 tables and a full service pro shop. A short walk north of The West Side Show Room.
PERFORMANCE POLICIES
WAIT LIST
We expect a certain number of cancellations and no-shows, especially on Free Fridays. To get on our waitlist, come to the WSSR early on the night of the show and we will get you in as soon as seats become available.
LATE SEATING
Plan to arrive early in order to find parking, and enjoy a drink from our bar. If you arrive late, you will be seated by an usher at an appropriate time during the performance.
On Free Fridays, you need to arrive at least 10 minutes before show. If you arrive late, you risk losing your seat.
CHILDREN
While The WSSR typically produces plays for adults, we think it’s a great idea to bring kids to the theater as soon as they are old enough to sit quietly and be interested in the performance. If you have any questions about the content of a particular play, please contact us.
Allowing your child to use a phone or tablet during a performance is not allowed. If your child becomes a distraction, you may be asked to step into the lobby. The WSSR is not appropriate for toddlers and infants.
PHOTOGRAPHY & RECORDING
Photos and videos are not allowed during shows because of copyright laws. Sorry. ☹️
TICKET EXCHANGES
If you can’t make the show, no worries— let us know as soon as possible by emailing tickets@wssr.org. We will schedule you for another day or pass your seat along to another party.
REFUNDS
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds on purchased tickets.
