ACCOMPANIST
WSSR is hiring a piano accompanist for Vampire Lesbians of Sodom.
To celebrate our 10th Anniversary on Dec 27th, 2023, WSSR is bringing back our first show: Vampire Lesbians of Sodom! This play runs 60 minutes and will be presented as a late night cabaret. This show is a short (1 hour) burlesque comedy and we are including 5-6 public domain songs from the Tin Pan Alley era, accompanied by live piano and percussion.

OVERVIEW
We are in search of a talented Accompanist with strong piano proficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with our music director and performers, providing reliable accompaniment during rehearsals and live shows.
TECH REHEARSALS
The accompanist will be expected to attend a Sitzprobe and Cue to Cue rehearsal during Tech which will be scheduled during the following dates:
TUE Dec 19: 6 - 11pm TECH
WED Dec 20: 6 - 11pm TECH
DRESS REHEARSALS
THU Dec 21: 6pm CALL, 7pm DRESS
TUE Dec 26: 6pm CALL, 7pm DRESS + 9pm DRESS
PERFORMANCES
WED Dec 27: 7pm CALL, 8pm SHOW (WSSR 10th Anniversary)
THU Dec 28: 7pm CALL, 8pm SHOW

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide piano accompaniment during rehearsals and performances.
Collaborate with the music director to understand musical nuances and requirements.
Adapt to varying styles and tempos as per the production's needs.
Assist vocalists in finding their pitches and support their musical performances.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated proficiency in playing the piano.
Previous experience as an Accompanist in theater or similar settings.
Strong ability to adapt and collaborate in a dynamic environment.
Sight-reading skills are a plus.
PAY: $300 stipend
